Air Jordan 3 “Katrina” 2018 Review
The appeal of a celebrity is magnetic but when you’re an athlete it’s a status that can attract attention. And soon everything you do is in the spotlight. When you can use the notoriety for a greater good, celebrity life can feel incandescently sweeter. Ask “All-NBA” B-Ball player, Michael Jordan. The also 3-Time NBA All-Star Most Valuable Player has used his stature fame has brought him to champion reputable causes. The devastation wreaked by Hurricane Katrina afforded the Jordan Brand creator an opportunity to support relief efforts. And Mike auctioned the Air Jordan 3 line exclusively to the cause. 12 years later, the sneaker launched in May 2018 as the Air Jordan 3 “Katrina”.
Coined also as the “Hall of Fame”, the Air Jordan 3 “Katrina” serves up an essential craftwork of upper and lower in leather and includes sparse red with cement-tone colorways. Sneaker fiends will have cause to cheer with the anticipated Jumpman logo that’s featured on the shoe heel and tongue.
The Air Jordan 3 Retro iteration can be found at Nike. Both shoe versions appear to have come with tonal laces, but we found purchasers may want to use a discerning eye when sizing for the feet. Consider the fit of the leather and whether you may want to try a comparable version at a brick and mortar location when possible. Socks may make the leather-crafted sneaker feel a bit constrictive. As well as the $190 sticker that may snap up the extra green peeps may have wanted to stash for just such an occasion.
Editors’ Note: Buying the Air Jordan 3 “Katrina”? A shoe that’s a half-size up may properly fit the sneaker better to the heel and toe. Wider feet may want to fit with the next full shoe size for an even comfier kick.
