At, the protection of our customer’s financial data is the most important. That’s why we’ve implemented 3D Secure into our checkout process to combat fraudulant transactions.

3D Secure is an additional layer of security to make online shopping transactions safer, by authenticating a cardholder’s identity at the time of purchase. It’s provided by Visa as ‘Verified by Visa’, and by Mastercard as ‘Mastercard SecureCode’.

How 3D Secure works

3D Secure adds an additional step to the authentication of online payments.  In order to complete a transaction using a credit or debit card, you must provide additional proof of identity, such as a password or other information known by you only. Control over what details are needed to verify the cardholder, sits with your issuing bank for the card used. 

By enabling 3D Secure on’s checkout process, we can:

  • block stolen card number fraudulent transactions at the online checkout,
  • increase customer confidence in the safety of our e-commerce site.

Failed authentications

In some cases, you as a customer may fail authorization during the payment process, or may back out of the transaction without completing it which will result in a failed authentication. In this case, you should contact your bank that issued your card. If you’ve already enrolled in 3D Secure, then find out why they declined the transaction.

I’m not sure if I am enrolled in 3D Secure

If you are not sure, then you must call your bank that issued your card to enroll yourself into the 3D Secure program. Fraud and identity theft is rampant on the internet. It’s in your best interest to protect your financial security by enrolling so that even if someone gets their hands on your credit or debit card, they won’t be able to make any transaction online.
